Even if your retail system is running well, you need to know that sensitive credit card information is protected for your clientele.

If you have not kept your credit card software or retail software which accepts credit cards maintenance up to date, your software version is at risk of not being compliant with current requirements.

This can result in significant financial penalties and even the loss of your merchant account.

MSRMS
If you take credit card  through a Microsoft Retail management System that is older than version 2, service pack 3, you need to get current on your service packs which can be downloaded from Microsoft Customer Source if you are current on your support.  If you are not, please contact us at Renaissance Business Systems to arrange to get you current.

Intuit QuickBooks POS 2009 is compliant.  If you have an older version, you may need to upgrade.

If you do not process credit cards through the software, then please verify that your other method (stand alone credit card terminal, PC Charge or IC Verify) is up-to-date.  With the current version of RMS, these products are no longer needed to accept credit cards but you will need to update to the current version.
